Colorful Guest Bedroom

The goal for this guest bedroom was to create a warm and inviting space with a unique design that didn’t feel like an afterthought when stacked up against the rest of the home. With bold colors, rich textures, and statement-making details filling every corner, the end result is vibrant, unexpected, and sure to make any visitor feel impossibly chic.

A statement-making wooden slat wall in a welcoming shade of pink anchors the Queen bed. To maximize the room’s compact footprint, a built-in bookshelf with lower cabinets adds storage while doubling as a second nightstand. The shelf’s arched top and dramatic marble add a “contemporary-meets-retro” flair, setting the tone for the rest of the space.

A hanging pendant paired with a coordinating wall sconce provide ample and stylish bedside lighting. On the opposite side of the room, a blackwash mango wood dresser and arched full-length mirror pop against a backdrop of blush grasscloth wallpaper. The dresser’s natural cane detail mimics the woven blanket and highly-textured embroidered throw pillows.

Comfy percale and seersucker bed linens and crisp blackout curtains help ensure guests get a full night’s rest in spite of the room’s abundance of natural light. In the morning, they’re greeted by an invigorating mix of art, décor, and greenery sprinkled throughout.
