Hall Bath + Powder Room
These two spaces are living proof that even the smallest of rooms can be big on style. As part of a larger three-floor renovation, this hall bath and powder room each feature bold, dramatic finishes that can easily hold their own when compared to the rest of the home’s more stately sprawl.
In the first floor powder room, vivid House of Hackney wallpaper not only adds a Victorian nod, but inspires the rest of the room’s color palette. Port wine zellige floor tile and a wall-mounted concrete bucket sink in striking cobalt blue can each be traced back to the wallpaper’s wild, unfurling flora. An unlacquered brass wall faucet by Waterworks, and custom leather pendant mirror add even more warmth and texture.
Shared by the family’s two school-aged boys, the upstairs hall bath includes a smoked oak and brass campaign-style vanity anchored by a rich and moody black wall. Two antique German “Jugendstil” pendants featuring Art Nouveau motifs flank the beveled mirror medicine cabinet. In the shower, green multi-tonal tile adds a handmade vintage flair while creating a beautiful backdrop for more unlacquered brass fixtures by Waterworks.
